Midea Installs AC in African Cross-Border Rail Line
Midea has installed air conditioning in the 45 stations along Africa’s first fully electrified cross-border railway line. The Ethiopia-Djibouti Railway stretches more than 750 km from Ethiopia's capital, Addis Ababa, to the Red Sea port of Djibouti.
With its industry-leading products and world-class service, Midea Commercial Air Conditioning (CAC) will install more than 100 units of precision A/C and more than 600 units of variable refrigerant flow (VRF) systems with total capacity of 26,266 kW.
CAC is a world leader in providing HVAC solutions for the railway industry. It provides more than half of the air conditioning for China’s high-speed railway stations and control rooms, a network whose tracks exceed 20,000 km.
